*** 4 Fun Facts About Eastborough:

1)  You have imported water.  There is a slight upcharge on your water bill from the City of Wichita since Eastborough is it's own city.  So... Therefore, I refer to it as "imported."

2)  There is no curbside trash service.  In order to cut down on traffic through the City, Eastborough selected a single trash service, they also elected not to have curbside pick-up.  On those famous windy Wichita days, the City didn't want a bunch of cannisters blowing over and having trash floating around.  So, all the residents pay slightly more for full-service trash service.  When I lived in Eastborough, the trash company grabbed my cannisters from right behind my fence, dumped them in their truck and then placed them back behind the fence.  I loved it!  No more missing trash day!

3)  There are 3 zipcodes and 2 major cross streets.  Located on the NW corner of Douglas and Woodlawn you have 67208, located SE of Douglas and Woodlawn is 67207 and NE of Douglas and Woodlawn is 67206.

4)  The Police picked up my mail!  What, what???  Yes!  When I traveled, I would let the Police know.  While they were out making their rounds, they would grab my mail and hold it at the station until I picked it up.  Such an awesome convenience!
